How To Remove Carpet StainsCarpets are placed on the floors of our house. As it is placed on the floor there are a number of chances in which the carpet can become dirty. Different types of stains are generated on the carpets. That may be due to spillage of tea, coffee, ink, urine of baby's, Juices, oil, ice creams, Chocolates, etc. If the stain is due to coffee, Juice or any type of wine the following tips should be followed. When there is such kind of spillage do not rub the carpet. Rubbing can increase the size of the stain. Instead of rubbing the stain should be blotted. Blotting should be done with a white paper or towel. In addition, you can use wet or dry vacuum to remove the stain. After this sprinkle the stain with a soda like 7 up or any of that kind. Let it set for a minute and then again blot it with a white paper or white towel. After this rinse it with clean water and again blot it with a white paper or towel. Repeat the procedure till you get no stain marks on the white towel. Other method of removing the stain is by using dish washing soap along with water. In this case you have to apply the mixture on the stain. Let it set for sometime. After some time blot it with white paper or white towel. If this does not work you can sprinkle hydrogen peroxide on the stain. Repeat the same procedure till no stain remains on the carpet. In case when there is a oil stain apply a non oily and a non caustic cleaning solvent. After you apply the solution blot the stain with white paper or white towel. Repeat the procedure till the stain is totally removed. After cleaning it with the solvent apply clean water on the stained portion. Bolt it with white paper or white towel and repeat the procedure till the stain is completely removed. Sometimes there are stains due to crayons, wax, etc. In such situations you can scrape the stain. Repeat the procedure till the stain is completely vanished. Sometimes there are stains due to vomiting, feces of pet animals, urine of kids, etc. In such a case apply dish washing soap on the stain. Do not rub the stain just blot it with a paper or towel. Repeat the procedure till no stain remains on the carpet. |
